Adopting techniques that build a sense of student autonomy in the classroom, specifically providing students with the opportunity to work through problems on their own, significantly increases engagement. In Term 4 of 2024, AIT is offering hands-on workshops for years 7-12 that provide students with a sense of autonomy and allow for the development of problem solving skills, whilst engaging students in the creative arts. These workshops focus on the practical components of our courses to enhance engagement in the classroom. Our workshops are run by our fantastic High School Engagement team who are all qualified and experienced teachers who specialise in engaging students and who are passionate about connecting students to relevant and exciting tertiary education.

2D Animation Workshop

Are your students interested in taking their artistic talents to the next level? Nourish their passion for artwork by booking our one hour taster workshop where they will learn the basic principles of 2D animation, get hands on to create a short animation using Brush Ninja and unleash their potential.

3D Animation Workshop

Are your students interested in blurring the line between reality and make-believe? Book our one hour taster workshop today so they can learn the basic principles of 3D animation, understand the building blocks of this artform and get hands on to create their own simple 3D animation using Blender.

Film Workshop

Are your students natural born storytellers? Do they live for the camera? If so, book our one hour taster workshop where they will learn about the relationship between film and storytelling, get hands on to create a visual story and develop a lifelong passion for the creative arts.

Games Workshop

Are your students passionate game enthusiasts? Help them turn their hobby into a career by booking our one hour taster workshop where they will learn the basics of game design and get hands on to create their own game concept in response to a brief.

All of our workshops can be supplemented with a 20 minute information session about the opportunities available at AIT.
