What To Expect

AIT’s Diploma of IT covers important technical concepts, such as programming in multiple languages, web development, database design, software engineering and data management, while also emphasising professional skills such as communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

Upon completion, you will be ready for entry-level IT positions, such as a help desk technician, technical support specialist or network administrator, and can even continue your education with AIT’s second-year bachelor’s degree program.

AIT Campus

Our Sydney campus is conveniently located in the heart of Sydney’s educational precinct, close to Central Train Station, in a lively and safe area with a great vibe. Our Melbourne Campus is located directly across from one of the biggest railway station interchanges in the Melbourne CBD, Southern Cross Station.

Both campuses feature classrooms facilities with fast internet speeds, the latest computers and technology and friendly support staff are always close by to help.

All of our course material is hosted on our cloud campus; a space specifically designed for quality online learning.

Here you will learn about the role you will play as an IT professional within an organisation, what tools are available to you to solve IT problems and how best to apply IT solutions based on current technology and professional practice.

Trimester 2

Foundations of Web Development

In this subject we teach you how to design the structure of a website so it is dynamic and engaging, and how to build a website development plan. You even get to develop a website prototype so you can show future employers your skills.

Foundations of Programing

Trimester 3

Analysing Data

Studying this subject will develop your ability to identify, extract, validate and analyse data, and formulate this data into meaningful reports for strategic decision-making. You will learn data modelling conventions and rules, as well as industry codes of ethics, privacy protection and ICT legislation.
