AIT will award two full first-year tuition scholarships:

  • one scholarship for an eligible degree at AIT’s Sydney campus; and
  • one scholarship for an eligible degree at AIT’s Melbourne campus.

Each scholarship applies to the tuition fees payable for the recipient’s first year of study in their approved AIT degree, subject to these Terms & Conditions.

To be eligible to enter the Competition, applicants must:

  • be a minimum of 17 years of age at the time of applying;
  • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident;

  • remain enrolled in their AIT course after the first study period census date of 19 February 2027 to retain the scholarship.

Year 12 applicants: All offers are conditional and subject to successful completion of the applicant’s Year 12 certificate.

Being selected as a Competition winner does not guarantee admission to AIT or override the academic, admissions or enrolment requirements applicable to the recipient’s chosen course.

To enter, eligible applicants must:

Step 1: Complete an AIT Early Offer application for an eligible degree by 11:59pm AEDT on 31 October 2026.

Step 2: Submit a video of up to 60 seconds by 11:59pm AEDT on 6 November 2026, responding to the following:

  • Introduce yourself.
  • What do you want to study?
  • Who do you want to be?
  • If you could meet anyone in the creative industry, who would it be and why?

Entries may be submitted as a selfie-style video, edited video or AI-assisted video.

Production quality is not a requirement. AIT is interested in the entrant’s passion, aspirations, creativity and motivation to pursue their chosen field of study.

Only entries submitted in accordance with the Competition entry process and within the Competition Period will be considered.

Eligible entries will be reviewed by an AIT-appointed judging panel based on the entrant’s response to the Competition prompt, including their demonstrated:

  • passion;
  • aspirations;
  • creativity; and
  • motivation to pursue their chosen field of study.

The judging panel will select:

  • one scholarship recipient for the Sydney campus; and
  • one scholarship recipient for the Melbourne campus.

The successful recipients will be announced at AIT’s Open Days on 21 November 2026 and contacted directly using the contact details provided with their application.

Attendance at Open Day is not required to be selected as a scholarship recipient.

Successful recipients must accept the scholarship in writing within five business days of being notified by AIT.

If a selected recipient is subsequently found to be ineligible, does not satisfy AIT’s admissions or enrolment requirements, does not accept the scholarship in writing within the required timeframe, or otherwise cannot take up the scholarship, AIT may select another eligible recipient.

The scholarship applies to tuition fees only for the recipient’s first year of study, up to the value of the tuition fees that would otherwise be payable for that year.

The scholarship does not cover:

  • enrolment or application fees, if applicable;
  • equipment;
  • hardware or software;
  • course materials;
  • textbooks;
  • travel or accommodation; or
  • any other incidental or non-tuition costs.

The scholarship cannot be combined with another AIT tuition scholarship, discount or tuition fee concession unless otherwise approved by AIT.

The scholarship is personal to the recipient and is not transferable to another person, redeemable for cash or exchangeable for another benefit.

Where a recipient receives credit or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), the scholarship will apply only to the tuition fees actually payable following the application of that credit or RPL.

Any resulting reduction in tuition fees does not entitle the recipient to a cash payment, refund, additional credit or extension of the scholarship.

A scholarship recipient may request a course change through AIT’s normal course transfer processes.

The scholarship does not automatically transfer to another course.

Any transfer of the scholarship is subject to AIT approval and remains capped at the value of the scholarship originally awarded.

If tuition fees for the approved new course are higher than the original scholarship value, the recipient will be responsible for paying the difference.

If tuition fees for the approved new course are lower, the difference will not be paid as cash, refunded, carried forward or provided as additional credit.

The scholarship is awarded for commencement in the February 2027 intake.

A scholarship recipient may request to defer their studies in accordance with AIT’s applicable policies.

Where a deferral is approved by AIT, the scholarship may be carried forward to the recipient’s next approved intake, up to a maximum deferral period of 12 months from the original commencement date.

Any deferral beyond 12 months requires AIT’s prior written approval and is not automatic.

Recipients must satisfy all AIT enrolment requirements and remain enrolled after the first study period census date of 19 February 2027 to retain the scholarship.

If a recipient withdraws, has their enrolment cancelled, or otherwise ceases their course during the scholarship period, any unused portion of the scholarship will lapse and have no residual cash or credit value.

AIT will not retrospectively charge a recipient for tuition fees already covered by the scholarship solely because the recipient subsequently withdraws or does not complete their course.

This does not apply where the scholarship was awarded on the basis of fraud, misrepresentation, false or misleading information, or another material breach of these Terms & Conditions.

If AIT discontinues the recipient’s nominated course or is unable to offer the course at the nominated campus or intake, AIT may, in consultation with the recipient, offer the recipient the opportunity to apply the scholarship to an appropriate alternative AIT course, campus or intake.

Any alternative arrangement will be determined by AIT in consultation with the recipient and remains subject to the applicable admissions and enrolment requirements.

Where an alternative course has higher tuition fees than the original scholarship value, the recipient will be responsible for paying the difference.

Where the tuition fees are lower, no cash payment, refund or additional credit will be provided for the difference.

AIT is committed to access and equity and will consider reasonable adjustment requests in accordance with its applicable policies.

AIT may not be able to provide all requested adjustments, depending on the nature of the adjustment, inherent course requirements, available resources and other relevant circumstances.

Applicants who require adjustments are encouraged to contact AIT to discuss their individual circumstances.

Entrants must ensure that their submitted video:

  • is their own work or that they have the necessary rights and permissions to use any material included in it;
  • does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of another person;
  • does not contain unlawful, discriminatory, defamatory or otherwise inappropriate material; and
  • complies with any reasonable submission requirements communicated by AIT.

Where AI tools are used to assist in creating an entry, the entrant remains responsible for the content submitted and for ensuring they have the necessary rights to use that content.

AIT may exclude an entry that does not comply with these requirements.

Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with the Competition will be collected, used and handled by AIT for the purposes of administering the Competition, assessing entries, contacting entrants and scholarship recipients, and administering any scholarship awarded.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with AIT’s Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.

By entering the Competition, entrants acknowledge that their submitted entry will be viewed by AIT staff and/or members of the judging panel for the purposes of assessing the Competition.

Promotional use

AIT may publish the name and image of a successful scholarship recipient for the purposes of announcing and promoting the outcome of the Competition, including at AIT Open Days, on AIT’s website and through AIT’s social media and other marketing channels.
AIT may also seek a successful recipient’s permission to use their submitted video, or extracts from it, for promotional and marketing purposes.
Any use of a recipient’s submitted video for promotional purposes beyond the administration and announcement of the Competition will be subject to the recipient’s consent.
Where a successful recipient is under 18 years of age, AIT may require consent from their parent or guardian before using their image, video or other personal information for promotional purpose

AIT may request information reasonably necessary to verify an entrant’s eligibility or compliance with these Terms & Conditions.

AIT may determine that an entry is ineligible or withdraw an offer of a scholarship where an entrant:

  • provides false, misleading or incomplete information;
  • does not satisfy the eligibility requirements;
  • fails to comply with these Terms & Conditions; or
  • interferes with or attempts to manipulate the Competition or entry process.

If circumstances outside AIT’s reasonable control prevent the Competition from being conducted as intended, AIT may reasonably modify, suspend, postpone or cancel the Competition.

Where practicable, AIT will communicate any material changes to affected entrants.

Participation in the Competition and selection as a scholarship recipient are separate from admission to an AIT course.

All scholarship recipients must satisfy AIT’s applicable admissions, enrolment, academic and other course requirements before the scholarship can be applied.

Selection as a scholarship recipient does not guarantee admission to AIT or override any applicable course entry or enrolment requirements.

Applicants should review AIT’s current published entry requirements and Admissions and Enrolment Policy before applying.
