Events on Demand
We regularly host online and in-person events. If you missed one of our events, then you can catch up with our recaps and highlight reels here, including MasterTalks, Open Days, and more…
Melbourne MasterTalk with JC Reyes
JC Reyes, the Head of Creative and New Business at production company Monster & Bear, joined us for a MasterTalk at AIT’s Melbourne campus.
From animating Lil’ Elvis and the Truckstoppers in the ’90s to starting his own creative studio and later turning a hugely successful, award-winning brand film around in just six weeks as a creative director at Monster & Bear, JC Reyes has done it all.

Sydney MasterTalk Panel: The Business of Creativity
We brought together leading creative minds, Marc Bouyer (BUCK), Ryan Penning (ScreenNSW), and Will Pietsch (freelance animator), to explore what it really takes to thrive in today’s creative industries.
We’ve taken their insights (plus a few from broader industry discussions) and turned them into real, practical advice that you can actually use – whether you’re a student, an emerging creative, or an experienced professional ready to grow.

Melbourne MasterTalk with Annemarie Gereis
Annemarie Gereis is a seasoned career coach and visual effects artist with a passion for empowering creatives to achieve their full potential.

Melbourne MasterTalk with Dean Musumeci
Dean Musumeci is a digital compositor and motion graphics artist. He’s also a former AIT educator, and this April he returned for a MasterTalk presentation at AIT.
From his own business as a director of photography and digital compositor, to his work on Gooseworx and Glitch Productions’ The Amazing Digital Circus, Dean walked students through his journey and shared invaluable industry advice.

Sydney MasterTalk with Lukas Sarralde
Lukas Sarralde from Mandrake Studios recently held an engaging talk, where he discussed motion capture technology and its uses in film, animation, and gaming.
Lukas gave our students a practical demonstration, setting up one of our guests with a motion capture suit, gloves and helmet rig, before showing how the captured data can be translated to a 3D animated character.

Grads in Focus Day
For our Grads in Focus day last November, we were joined by AIT alumni who shared their experiences since graduation. Hear from Tash Perrett, who works as a junior artist at Industrial Light and Magic, Bailey Papic – corporate videographer and editor, Chloe Lambley – a 2D animator with Flying Bark Productions, Jack O’Shea – lead software engineer at Red Cartel, and Goran Ilievski – CRM specialist and web developer.
